Copenhagen Games have announced they have altered the broadcasting rights of their event, resulting in the last two matches of the tournament only featuring one specific stream and no HLTV.
As the playoffs get closer to the end, the Copenhagen Games organization has changed the way the tournament will be broadcasted.
Originally, the Copenhagen Games organizers had made the event open from start to end, in regards of HLTV and streams, meaning everyone interesting in viewing, could view via HLTV or multiple streams. The policy of the tournament stated:
"For this year's event we have chosen not to password protect our HLTV and SourceTV. Should you wish to use our proxies for streaming purposes we kindly request that you send us a ticket via our support system."
Today, the organizers informed us, that for the remaining two matches of the tournament 'only the stream by Emil "HeatoN" Christensen and Dennis "walle" Wallenberg will be available.
The decision comes as the official stream of Copenhagen Games was not happy with the viewership for this event, compared to the projected amount reported to stream sponsors ahead of the event.
The Copenhagen Games stream therefore enforced that HLTV should be shut down for the last two matches of the tournament. This means that the Consolidation Final and the Grand Final won't feature HLTV or streams such as GreatFrag, cyberarena, Natus Vincere, GameSports, Virtus.pro, mousesports and more.
We will still record a demo, like other events, so you will be able to watch to enjoy the HLTV demo after the event.
